A Spark Driver mileage tracker — Walmart does not send one
Walmart does not give Spark drivers a mileage summary. Its own tax FAQ answers the question directly: no, Walmart doesn't provide drivers with mileage summaries. The only exception is Colorado, where drivers see “engaged mileage” — from accepting an offer to completing the delivery. Everywhere else, every Spark mile — to the store, shop-and-deliver runs, customer returns — exists only in the record you keep yourself. Your 1099 from Walmart shows earnings and tips, never miles.

No summary means every mile is yours to record
On most platforms a driver's own log fills a gap. On Spark it is the whole record. Walmart's help documents say plainly that no mileage summary is sent, and the 1099 lists money, not miles. The delivery distance shown on an offer is a preview of one leg before you accept it — it is not stored anywhere you can total up at the end of the year. If you do not write your miles down as you drive, there is nothing to reconstruct them from later.
Returns and shop-and-deliver runs are Spark miles too
Spark is not only drop-offs. Shopping offers send you around the store before the drive; customer-return offers send you to a customer's door to collect an item and back to a Walmart location. Each of those is driving done for the work, and each looks different on a map from a simple delivery. A tracker that only started when a delivery started would miss the return leg entirely. Which of these miles are deductible for you is a question for a tax professional; the IRS asks that the record be kept at or near the time of each drive (Publication 463).

What is engaged mileage on Spark?
Colorado only: the miles from accepting an offer to completing the delivery. Driving to a store before an offer and the drive after a delivery are outside it by definition.
Does my Spark 1099 show miles?
No. The 1099-NEC or 1099-INT in the Spark Driver app under More › Account › Tax Documents shows earnings and tips only. It is issued under your SSN.
Do customer return offers count as Spark miles?
They are driving you do for the work: you collect an item from a customer and drive it to a Walmart. Whether a given mile is deductible is for your tax professional; recording it is up to you, because Walmart does not.
Can I rebuild my Spark mileage at the end of the year?
Hardly — the offer distances are not kept anywhere you can total, and Walmart sends no summary. The practical answer is a tracker that records each drive as it happens.
